PET-CT
Positron emission tomography (PET) uses radioactive substances to visualize and measure changes in metabolic processes to help diagnose and monitor your internal organs. PET scans are often combined with CT/CAT scans. A PET scan can take several hours to complete as you must first receive the substance intravenously before going into a scanner.
